Jardin D’Essai Du Hamma is the botanical gardens Algiers. It is one of the most beautiful city gardens I have seen. Every time I visit we explore a new part of the gardens and around every corner is an amazing surprise like this large fig tree. This was the find from our family stroll on Friday morning.
Wherever you go the history of a place is seen in the historic layers of its architecture. Algiers is certainly no different. Predominantly you will notice all the French architecture and you might even be forgiven for thinking you were in a different country at times, however, there are still plenty of examples of influences from before colonial times.
